  awesome staff and equipment, helped me out with returning wrong sized gear. fleece i had attempting to swap for larger size was out and attendant helped look for alternative options with much success. would recommend!

  They are strick in their return policy. Do not care to understand the customer even when proof of purchase has been established. Pete the return drone, considers an equal exchange a blackmail experience, and continued to put my last name in the first name field box and say he couldn't find me. I spoke with Gary and another M.O.D. They too, were not understanding. An equal exchange is simple to me, but they are not. On a kind note, Moe was kind as I was leaving the store. REI feel free to reach out for excellent customer service, otherwise be like Pete and Gary, who mad bad judgement calls.

  REI has decent clothing & equipment and pricing is reasonable. Sales staff is not typically very knowledgeable and are thinly staffed so don't expect much help. Do your research before going to store. Sizes in shoes /boots tend to be a bit limited, if you need wide sizes, you will need to buy online as they do not typically carry wide sizes in stores. I've gone to REI for many years and it isn't the store it once was, primarily because they don't seem able to retain their knowledgeable sales staff.
